Dave currently resides in Neenah, WI and has the longest commute to the Altered
State shows but he says it's well worth it because it's all about fun and playing good
music.
Dave has been playing bass guitar since 1984 and quickly polished his musical
skills and soon joined his first band in 1985. Dave is a self proclaimed "hair band"
fanatic which shows in his musical playing and stage show!!! Influenced by such
greats as Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath and
loving all things from that era, he started playing in that vein and has been in bands
such as Indecent Exposure and Vigilante/Katella. As will happen sometimes, Dave
will put down the bass for a while and then the itch to be playing comes back. Dave
joined Altered State in 2004 and has been keeping the down low pumpin’ and
rockin’ ever since.
Dave keeps us solid and on track by playing with a Fender Precision Bass pumped
through a Peavey Mark VIII head and Sonic 410 bottom.
Dave’s brush with fame came in the form of sitting down with Mike Stone of
Queensryche and laying down some tracks with him in his studio. Dave says he's a
real down to earth guy. Thanks Ray for that brush with greatness!!! All these
influences contrived to make Dave the rock solid backbone of the Altered State
show!!!
